For the first time, the world can read a newspaper entirely produced by artificial intelligence. The experience was designed by Il Foglio, an Italian conservative liberal newspaper which aims to show the impact of AI technology on daily life.

“It will be the first daily newspaper on newsstands created entirely using artificial intelligence,” said editor Claudio Cerasa. “For everything. For writing, titles, quotes, summaries. And sometimes even for irony.”

According to him, journalists will be responsible for asking a chatbot and reviewing the answers. The four -page experimental edition is now available for sales on newspaper kiosks and also online.

“At the end of this experience, we will tell you which impact leaf on AI nowadays, on our way of working. We will tell you what questions we were forced to ask ourselves, not only of a journalistic nature, when we see day after day a newspaper entirely made with AI.”

There is also a chronicle entitled “Putin, the 10 betrayals”, which lists “20 years of broken promises, broken agreements and betrayed words” by Russian president Vladimir Putin. And a story of how “the use of artificial intelligence in journalism has developed in an exponential way, leading to innovation and debate”.

The newspaper also published a report on the way in which “young Europeans, in particular generation Z, are moving away from traditional romantic love and prefer vague relationships and indefinite situations” – accompanied by an image of two young adults generated by AI.
